Comment by Btw this is a pretty good PvE tool not only from the hit but the crit too. Not to mention the raw intellect that isn't too shabby. As in PvP it could use a litlle bit more stam. That makes it quite of a complicated cookie but that wouldn't ahppen anyways. It's worth grinding honor for about 3 days if u grind intensly. Gl getting it. S: It looks a lil' short for a staff but the whirling effects are sick in my opinion.
Comment by so ppl can any 1 tell to me, whot is bertter for shadow priest, staf or dagger ond off hand? Comment by I would say the staff is better. Spell Penetration is a nice plus. Comment by Wonder if this would be good for a Elemental Shaman. Seeing as they have mental amounts of Spell Crit and Spell hit as it is. Or Make them more pew pew - due to increasing their Crit and Hit.
Comment by Allakhazam oh man I can't wait to see what it looks like Edited, Jan 14th pm by korynthe. Comment by Allakhazam have already seen it on players but it dont use so much players as i thought..
Comment by Allakhazam Hey anyone know or have tips about getting points. I have just started last night so i have only played 5 games. We won 3 out of 5 times. So i was wondering how you get enough points i mean pts is a lot even though the staff is perfect in every way.
Dont forget though i want the wand Comment by Allakhazam Looks amazing, is amazing. Arena rewards are all really cool and for the most part are all great. Comment by Allakhazam This staff is awesome! Gonna get it very soon :. Comment by Thottbot Sword: pts. Tome: pts. Staff: pts. What's this? No difference! Comment by Thottbot This is how arena works : Your arena rating goes up and down when you win and lose battles.
Forexample if your team got a bad rating and you win against a team with better rating than you , you will get pretty many. If they got a bad rating and you got a better one you dont get much of winning.
You get arena points out of your rating So it's at least 3 matches per week you have to do to get some points. Epixx for free anyone? Comment by Thottbot Being a very experienced mage sincer the begnning of wow I will let you guys know something. Casters have been waiting for a weapon to come out of this quality since the beginning. Almost every weapon we have we wish there was something more on it.. The staff with everything, regardless what quantity. We marveled at Atiesh.. Not only does it have some of everything, but alot of eveything..
If one invests the time into this weapon, they will be extremely happy. Probably wont have to upgrade from it until next expansion :P.. Im at 2. Everyone on my server has spent their arena on arena armor, wand and such Please shut up.
Ansd you still have Comment by Thottbot First of all.. I would like to thank everyone for posting about this, causing a large ordeal for no apparent reason Here it is You Decide Along with awesome dmg enchanted and nice stats Comment by Thottbot The problem is not the spellblade. It's Endgame. While Spellblade and Warstaff are probably the best weapons in play, Endgame definitely is not the best off-hand. Team up Spellblade with something decent and you get even more damage.
And yes, I am going to get Spellblade next week, after playing 50 times and losing most of the games. I just suck at PvP Just renewed the team two times.
Also, I have the shadowcloth set, so four of my items will be maxed out soon, with almost no effort. No need to raid, nothing.
Edit: PS. I am a raiding shadow priest so crit doesn't mean much to me. Comment by Thottbot Having the staff enchanted with soulfrost is better than the spell damage for locks and frost mages. Comment by Thottbot Not what I heard and have seen. The DPS on it will be But what the hell do I know.
Please correct me if Im wrong :. Comment by Thottbot It is the best staff in wow Comment by Thottbot It's pretty darn good for PvE in my opinion. It will take awhile to replace it if you gather arena points as soon as you hit lvl Comment by Thottbot can i please ask a dumb question..
Comment by Thottbot It doesn't matter how many games you've played in a week so long as you've done your required 10 games. You've played 10 games for your 2vs2 team and ended up with a rating of you get around points. You played 40 games and you end up with a rating you get around points.
You play ! You actually earn LESS points than you would have with the first ten games you've played with the rating. That means you must know when to stop. Knowing when to stop is almost as important as winning. Comment by Thottbot With the 2. Instead of arena points it will now cost honor and 40 AV marks. WOOT more welfare epix! Comment by Thottbot with 2. Comment by Thottbot This staff is better than the one hander and off hand when it comes to balance druids.
Balance druids grab a good amount of SP from intellect if they spec into it. And imo every balance druid should. Since this is a pvp staff balance druids are one of the biggest burst damage classes in the game. Alot of people dont like to see big stinky birds but 4k starfire to the face really does hurt.
If you are a balance druid I highly suggest this staff more than the spell blade book. You will get roughly around sp with this staff. Throw a 40 spell damage on it and its Hopefully this helped a confused moonkin on their choice.
Price is 27k honor and 40 AV honor marks. Not bad, IMO, because it looks better, has better stats, and additional spell dmg bonus. Comment by Thottbot Hey, I am a very confused mage, I have been switching back and forth between arcane and fire, and I was wondering if I should go for gear first or this staff, please check Mustreach of Silver Hand out at the armory and give me some feedback, I would greatly appreciate it.
Comment by Thottbot This staff is awesome. If you 1. It should be the Weapon any mage Starts raiding with. Comment by Thottbot I am a shadow priest and as far as stats and hit rating go - am thinking this is best for heading towards endraiding..
The only one similar with the hit rating and stats is the Staff of Infinite Mysteries from Kara. I personally thing the odds of working pvp better than the drop of that staff in Kara.
Is that right or am i totally wrong? The only blade that gives a hit rating is from arena.. What do other SP's think or have or are going for? Let me explain: After a Shadow Bolt crits the target, a debuff is applied to the target with four charges. The charges are removed as direct sources of Shadow damage are applied, or until 12 seconds have passed, at which point the debuff disappears entirely. The debuff used to function similarly, except that any source of Shadow damage would consume the charges, instead of only direct damage.
Regardless, Improved Shadow Bolt does, in fact, increase all sources of Shadow damage while it is active. People see me throwing LB around and know I'm elemental, so they try to get me in melee combat. Plus, the stats on it really are great for an elemental shaman even in a PvE setting. Comment by Apologies in advance if any of my calculations are incorrect or someone already posted this, but I'm a shadow priest so I did some research for you others out there since I didn't see anything.
But as you may already know, most arena players have a high amount of resilience. Once again, this is my conclusion for shadow priests, only. Comment by i've been saving the mats for sunfire so i can enchant this asap Comment by Buffed in 2. Comment by With season 4 looming, this staff will be available to purchase via honour and marks.
Comment by If you're having trouble deciding between this staff and the Spellblade with the offhand, one thing to keep in mind is what this looks like. But keep in mind, we're already talking about differences of very small percentages. Comment by spity i have heard that we soon can buy merciless stuffs whit honor. Comment by Has been changed to 27, honor and 40 AV mark's. Comment by arkov Edit: Somehow completely overlooked spell crit when comparing these the first time.
Which is quite a bit more than this staff which costs 27, honor and 40 AV marks. Comment by Machar How about for elemental shamans? The crit is pretty nice for them too, but is it worth giving up a shield in PvE? Obviously it isn't for PvP. Comment by Allakhazam Download the best PvP and arena addons here! PvP and Arena Addons! Keep track of your arena points and honor points!
Comment by Thottbot it says above. Comment by Thottbot 21 weeks of Arena losses arena points per week , assuming you play 10 games per week and lose just about every game. Theoretically, you could have this by New Year's ! Comment by Thottbot a fairly good 2x2 team will be able to maintain a weekly rating which means points per week. You play 10 games per week over a peiod of 3 months or so and get Nr 3 best dps staff in game , number 1 and 2 being extremely rare , dropping off bosses most players will never see live in their wow days drawbacks : 1.
The War Staff seems better for mages and elemental shamans. Comment by Thottbot Think as an aff lock i'd still take the orb of the soul eater as an off hand over the end game I mean seriously what shaman would go for a little more crit, and few more stats not even worth mentioning over a shield that gives: armor 48 stamina 31 resil Shamans need survivalbility too and that's too much to give up for a little bit of crit rating.
Comment by Thottbot I agree that's almost im possible unless you devote your life to arena and have some beastly gear already Comment by Thottbot Everyone, this is a Moonkin staff. I know this is posted on a lot of staffs, and sometimes on shields, because noobs put it there, but it is great for Moonkin in Arena!
